Tools and Techniques

Many places concentrate on the tools, techniques and special add-ons they have. Ripple Effect Massage & Wellness has chosen a different path, a path that concentrates on your desired outcome. We call this Outcome Based Integrative Therapies. Ultimately, we have found that people choose tools and techniques they think will help them the most, help them with the outcome they want to experience. Choosing a single technique doesn’t always offer the best results though.

We do acknowledge that some people have preferences and that those preferences can often lead to better outcomes. So, what are the tools, techniques and enhancements we integrate into your session?

Tools:

We have the option to utilize many different tools during sessions. Some people respond best to one or two. Specific situations often call for a specific tool. We utilize sound scientific research for the tools and situations they are applicable for. There are a lot of tools and specific modalities out there and many make some outrageous claims, by trusting science we can hone in on what is effective for your situation.

The primary tools we use include:

  • Modern Silicone Cupping

  • Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Manipulation (IASTM) *this is similar to GuaSha or Graston Technique and often is called Scraping

  • Kinesio Taping

  • Hot Stones - Himalayan Hot Stones, Refined Basalt Stones, Natural Ocean Stones

  • Hot Bamboo Therapy

  • Hot Towels

  • Cryotherapy

  • Aromatherapy

Techniques

Just like the tools we use, we only use techniques that are proven by science to be effective and safe. We target the use of the techniques we use to the areas that they are best suited for.

At Ripple Effect Massage & Wellness we use an integrative technique, outcome based model. This means we use the proper technique for the outcome you want to see.
